San Miguel de Abona, located in the south of Tenerife, has a rich history since pre-Hispanic times, originally inhabited by the "Guanches" (native civilization). After the Spanish conquest, it began to develop with the introduction of agriculture and livestock, thanks to the fertility of the soil and the favorable climate.
